October 3, 2005 People in Business CHRIS MAFFIA of Scotts Valley has joined Santa Cruz County Bank as vice president, relationship manager. Maffia will focus on serving local individuals and businesses and building the banks deposit base. Her background includes more than 28 years of banking experience. She retired from Bank of America in July as senior vice president market manager for the banks Central Coast Premier Banking group. Maffia serves on the board of United Way of Santa Cruz County and is a member and past president of Dominican Hospital Foundation Guild. She has been recognized as Affiliate of the Year by the Santa Cruz Board of Realtors and Ambassador of the Year by the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce. She is also past chairwoman of the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee. Maffias husband, CHUCK MAFFIA, heads the banks Scotts Valley branch as vice president and manager for the Scotts Valley region.
