October 10, 2005 People in Business DOUG FISCHER was promoted to assistant vice president of Santa Cruz County Bank. Fischer joined the bank in 2004 as business development officer. In February, Fischer helped open the banks new office in Watsonville, and he continues to serve clients predominantly in South County. Fischer was born and raised in Santa Cruz County. He is a Watsonville Rotarian and is a member of the 2005 Focus Agriculture program. He also participates in Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce and Latino Business Association events. Fischer also spent 14 years working in the business sector in Central America.
