S.C. County Bank opens S.V. branch Sentinel staff report SCOTTS VALLEY — The second branch of Santa Cruz County Bank opened Wednesday with a ribbon cutting. The branch, at 4604 Scotts Valley Drive, will be headed by veteran Scotts Valley banker Chuck Maffia. A grand opening ceremony is planned for Nov. 30, 5 to 7 p.m. The first 250 account holders will be recognized as "cornerstone clients" of the new branch. John Rossell, president and chief executive officer, said, "We are pleased to offer our unique relationship style of banking to the Scotts Valley community and to expand our geographic reach. We hope to gain business from the residents and independently owned businesses who value putting their money where their life is." Founded by local business people, the bank opened in Santa Cruz on Feb. 3 after the completion of its public stock offering. Stock is traded on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board as SCZC. It last traded at $14.80 on July 27. Its 52-week range is $10-$15. A branch will be opened at 595 Auto Center Drive in Watsonville in February.
