Our Credit Analysts are a critical part of the lending process which ultimately makes a powerful economic impact – reinvesting the Bank’s deposits back into the communities we serve. The Bank’s Credit Analysts played a huge role in securing funds for small businesses to retain over 50,000 jobs during the pandemic – a meaningful impact!
The Credit Analyst spreads financial statements, prepares the written business case for loan requests (which includes the business’ history, well-researched industry information and exposure to economic impacts/cycles), and prepares detailed credit authorizations for the Bank’s commercial loan requests. Financial analysis includes ratio and trend analysis as well as the creation of projections and detailed analysis of cash flows.

The Credit Analyst I is expected to graduate to the Credit Analyst II position within 1-2 years, even faster if you’re a rock star. Typically the career path following Credit Analyst II is often one of the following positions:
Relationship Manager
These team members manage loan portfolios and are on the front line of the client experience for borrowers. They generate loans through sales efforts, and from developing established long-term relationships. They also manage the renewal process for existing loans. Advance to this position and you will use your newfound credit skills to create customized solutions to assist clients in reaching their business goals.
Senior Underwriter
These team members use their newfound credit skills to analyze and structure the largest and most complex credits that come our way. Senior Underwriters are an extremely valued resource, as the (subject matter) experts on all lending related topics, often having specific industry and/or loan type expertise.
